This is my personal home page for the NIST PQC Round 3 submission, Classic McEliece.
I am currently Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer for PQ Solutions Ltd
which is start up company specialising in post quantum cryptography, secure ID systems and security systems that feature distributed secret keys (quorum).
I am also Emeritus Professor at the University of Plymouth, UK https://www.plymouth.ac.uk/
where for the last 3 decades I have been researching communication systems and electronic security. Of particular background relevance is an open source output, the text book “Error-Correction Coding and Decoding” published with my colleagues by Springer
https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-319-51103-0
Chapter 19 of this book gives a tutorial style approach, with detailed Goppa code constructions, for the McEliece Cryptosystem. Some variations of McEliece are included.
